elite team surfing - is it worth the time and effort?

I recently joined this elite team surfing site. Last week I won second place in their surfing contest and that gave me three months free in an upgraded account. Now I consider that to be worth it, but is it really worth it for those running only the free accounts? Is the traffic really targeted enough? I know that I was a targeted visitor while I was doing all that contest surfing. I was only stopping to view the sites that really caught my interest...and there were a few of them. This one is a bit different from the rest. Might want to take a look!
